Custom ESP32Development Board
A custom ESP32-WROOM development board designed end-to-end in Altium Designer as a reusable platform for IoT and embedded-systems prototyping — USB-C power and programming, onboard 5V / 3.3V regulation, tactile buttons, a rotary encoder, LCD/OLED and microSD interfaces, and full GPIO expansion on a fabricated PCB.
What was built

Designed a custom ESP32-WROOM-32E development board end-to-end in Altium Designer, organising the schematic into clean functional blocks: power, USB interface, MCU core, user input, display, microSD and expansion headers.

Implemented a USB-C interface with a CP2102N USB-to-UART bridge for both power input and programming, with ESD protection on the data lines.

Added onboard voltage regulation delivering stable 5V and 3.3V rails, plus status LEDs for clear power and system indication.

Integrated user I/O — tactile push buttons and a rotary encoder for menu navigation, scrolling and volume control — alongside LCD/OLED display headers and microSD storage.

Broke out GPIO expansion headers for sensors, modules and peripherals, then completed full PCB routing to deliver a reusable IoT and embedded-systems prototyping platform.
